Opportunities for Talented Students to Learn from Nationally Recognized Musicians and Artists
Founded in July 2023, the Blue Ridge Center for Music & Creative Arts is a Virginia nonprofit organization located in Madison County, Virginia. The Center provides facilities, programs, and supporting services for professional musicians and other artists in conjunction with educational and developmental programs for talented students in a manner that promotes meaningful interactions, learning opportunities, creative expression, and mentoring relationships. The goal is to accelerate learning, skill development, and creative expression and prepare students for lifelong involvement and careers in music and the creative arts.
A Beautiful and Relaxing Destination Site
Located against the spectacular natural backdrop of the Blue Ridge Mountains and surrounded by rolling Virginia piedmont, pristine natural waterways, and tranquil pastoral landscapes, the Center offers an attractive destination site. Professional musicians and other practitioners of the creative arts are invited to work on projects and participate in Center programs in this beautiful and relaxing environment. The student programs conducted by the Center, including summer camps, workshops, music jam sessions, and other teaching approaches, draw upon these artists as faculty.
Preparing the Next Generation for a Lifetime of Involvement in the Creative Arts
Students have the opportunity to interact with and learn from top level professionals who have an interest in teaching, coaching, and mentoring the next generation of creative artists. They help students identify and strengthen their creative potential, prepare for successful auditions for admissions to colleges and music conservatories, and obtain scholarships and other financial aid based upon their talents.
Teaching the Wide Range of Skills Needed for Successful Careers
The programs are supplemented with training in technical areas that support artistic endeavors such as sound engineering, exhibition management, live performance management, videography, and music video production.
